IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Starting in 2014 the center now hosts 700+ associates for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics Life Science and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The IDC workforce comprises various product engineering teams working on the development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for Immunoassay Chemistry Hematology Molecular diagnostics Oncology Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as a center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.
The in-house teams work in close coordination with other global R&D centers in US France Germany Japan Australia Denmark and Sweden. Located in the center of Bangalore IT HUB IDC is housed in state of an art facility.
The Staff Software Development Engineer in Test for Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is responsible for working across our diverse product lines to keep them up to date and secure while maintaining their robustness and effectiveness.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Understand a wide variety of project architectures
Maintain software build and test configurations
Monitor the software supply chain and recommend actions and priorities
Integrate the latest patches and software updates into products
Follow company documentation procedures for requirements design security coding and testing
Execute quality assurance activities such as risk analysis software deliverable technical reviews and code inspections
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field
12+ years of experience in commercial software test automation and software development
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and software from a testing perspective
Ability to author execute and document formal testing including plans protocols and traceability
Demonstrated analytical skills problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Software development experience in the life sciences or medical device domains
Familiarity with C# C++ or Java software development
Familiarity with Jenkins or Azure DevOps
Working knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR) 21 CFR 820 ISO 13485:2003 and other worldwide medical device regulations
Experience in Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
